An anthology that brings death a new name.

Consisting of seven sections: Of Fear, Of Reflection, Of Realization, Of Tranquility, Of Praise, Of Revelation, Of Death.

Though only a portion of Moments’ contents have been described, each section is meant to communicate its own tensions. We have selected pieces that speak to us from unique perspectives, and we hope to capture a conversation among them within our anthology. The pieces are divided by their dominant concepts, but the distinctions we discern are by no means rigid: our desire is merely to suggest lenses for our readers, sentiments for our characters, and motives for our authors.

Moments is a book of fundamentals. The writers selected invariably capture something central to our understanding of death, but do not always offer sound resolution. From a more remote perspective, we would like our anthology to be a testament to death’s ability to inspire: as evidenced by the voices that span continents and centuries, Moments insists that death implants in living bodies an unearthly animation.
